The last review I saw said there were no instructions to put the bench together. First of all, there are instructions on the box! (You have to be smarter than the bench.) Second, there are 5 or 6 giant pieces that just snap together. There’s no hardware, no tools necessary. My 9 year old helped me put it together.

As for how well it works, I haven’t had any trouble with water getting in, so maybe the person who couldn’t figure out how to put it together put it together wrong. It has plenty of storage space for my charcoal and other grilling supplies as well as a few other patio items I wanted to store.

My only disappointment is that the storage space wasn’t large enough for my swing cushions, but that is fine. I mostly wanted it for my grilling supplies anyways.

It seats at least two people comfortably and seems pretty stable. Also it looks nice on the patio unlike just getting a large storage box.

Rubbermaid makes some great items for storage for the home but here’s a great item now for your patio and deck. Pefect if you don’t have a lot of outdoor storage space. We do but still got this because it looks very good, goes well with our patio style and privacy fence. We use it to store our 3 year old’s outdoor toys, mostly. Provides four cubit feet of storage space. Large enough…and sturdy enough to fit two adults nicely. My only wish is that Rubbermaid gives some different color options in the future. Well worth the price and looks great.
